Podcasting Joomla-style

Joomla is the most popular, flexible and powerful open soucre content management system on the planet.  It has emerged from the creative minds of coders from all parts of the world, contributing to its GNU/GPL foundations.

Joomla! Juice! is the original and longest running podcast about all things Joomla.  The podcast explores a range of topics including commercial and non-commercial uses of Joomla for websites.  We regularly host key figures from the Joomla community.

The podcast came about due to an obvious need for a light-hearted approach to help introduce new users to the possibilities of using a content management system as their website.

Joomla! Juice! creator Pete Russell, a founding member of Joomla!, presents the shows regularly via the iTunes podcast distribution network.  Content varies from audio podcasts to, more recently, video.

We use some of the latest technologies in for capturing and editing our shows: including an Edirol R1 digital recorder, Ubercaster (podcasting software) and a range of software for video capture and editing.  Using a combination of Joomla! and a specialist media server for feed management, Joomla! Juice! is a good example of the flexibility of open source software creating a potent presence.

With combined download figures surpassing 100,000 since its beginnings, Joomla! Juice! looks set to continue to reach a significant part of the Joomla marketplace.

From new users to professional developers, there's something in 'the Juice!' for everyone.
